When the body sends out few or no signals, it turns into an emptiness which horrifies us. It is a projection. It is a truce. The truce, inasmuch as it brings together fantasies and limits, certainly it is a deep-rooted form of resistance.
Another feeling that we get in a requiem is its striving for a broader and more fluid perception.
As a prayer for the rest of the body, the requiem gathers sufficient resonance and power to successfully arrive from this world to the next.
The requiem is a shift, it hauls itself up. The music incorporates and tears you out to rewrite the body.
We meet with the guitarist Marc Sens again. His music is harsh, hypnotic and powerful. His work demands the involvement of the body, to reach it and write it as we seize it. We are meeting to explore the swelling and the distortion of the body - eternal erogenous surface - in the sound.
