Edges è una performance di gruppo che esplora le nozioni di “marginale” e “centrale”, “visibile” e invisibile” e attraverso questo processo accresce la riflessione sull’idea di “prospettiva” e “punto di vista”.
Il teatro è un luogo dove i punti di vista si formano continuamente, sia nella scelta di cosa rendiamo visibile e invisibile che in opinioni, idee, sensazioni. Dando molta “visibilità” a qualcuno o qualcosa, gli diamo una sorta di potere e attenzione. Lasciando che qualcosa sia poco visibile lo mettiamo ai margini dell’interesse, ma è ancora lì, esiste ancora e influenza il nostro modo di vedere o di essere.
Edges propone un viaggio attraverso un paesaggio fatto di immagini, storie e suoni che continuano a dare potere allo sguardo degli spettatori, creando una cornice per immaginare il visibile e ascoltare l’invisibile.

 

Edges is a group performance that explores the notions of “marginal” and “central”, “visible” and “invisible” and through this process enhances the reflection on the idea of “perspective” and “point of view”.
The place of theatre is one where viewpoints are formed constantly, both in the choices of what we make visible or invisible and in opinions, ideas, sensations. By giving a lot of ‘visibility’ to something or someone, we give it a certain sort of power and attention. By letting something being hardly visible we place it on the edges of interest, but it is still there, it still exists and it still influences our ways of seeing or being.
Edges proposes a journey through a landscape made of images, stories and sounds which continues to empower spectators’ gaze, creating a frame for imagining the visible and listening to the invisible.
