The time of luxury is not over - it just belongs to fewer people. The social concept of the wests welfare states is in doubt, increasingly we live as little singular competitive identities, while attention has become a value of its own. The democratization of prominence corresponds to Joseph Beuys’ declaration: everyone is an artist. By playing humorously with clichés, quotes and aesthetics from daily life, HOLIDAY ON STAGE is an investigation by Martin Schick and Damir Todorovic about seductive forces and strategies of our late western society, future politics and human economics. You could call it a real ‘western’.
